Month Six: February

So, this is it. It is February and we are at the end of the semester. I can hear the clock ticking and my nerves are really tense. We have to write the big literature paper, do all of my final exams, final papers, get some sleep, plan the trip with Jacobo, and stay calm. It feels like an avalanche of work just came crashing down and everyone is stressing. I am so nervous about everything. Fingers crossed that everything works. I at least have the trip with Jacobo as the light at the end of the tunnel. I am also hopeful that my internship goes well. I am planning on teaching English at Sprachschule Aktiv. I got a job there for the break between the winter and summer semester. It is not paid, but I am hoping that the experience is beneficial. ,

By the end of the semester, I was running on fumes. I was exhausted, the work load was overwhelming, and I was ready for the winter semester to finally end. It felt like the longest semester of all time. I am glad to say that I got everything done and turned in on time! It was such a relief. I was so thankful and proud of myself  that I was able to get everything done. I ended up doing pretty well that semester and I am really proud of all of my accomplishments. Now, I got to have fun! It was time to go to Italy! I took the train down to Milan and I was so excited. I met Jacobo at the train station in Milan and it was such a delight to see him. I met his sister and his sister’s boyfriend, which was good. A few days later, we left for Rome. We had a sweet apartment tucked away on a side street with a grocery store under the building. It was perfect. Unfortunately, during the entire trip, I was not feeling well. I think it was because of the stress from finals and not sleeping enough during that time, I had a horrible cold. So, the trip was not as relaxing as I was hoping, but we got to celebrate Valentine’s Day together, which was lovely. Although February was not my best month, it was worth the stress and all of the work.

That was February in a nutshell. Check out some of my pictures from my adventures.
